This page will contain tutorial sections to help users get over problems. It will be somewhat like an FAQ page. However, since we don't know what common problems people will face with the site it is mostly a placeholder. Feel free to add FAQ entries to this page, but be very clear in your language realizing that the majority of the volunteers will be non-technical.

First of all

This wiki is based off of the same code as Wikipedia. Therefore, if you are familiar with Wikipedia, the functionality is basically identical at the moment.

Edit a bill

To edit a bill, go to the main page, and click on the "Current Bills" link. Then find the bill you want to edit. Click on it's link. Then you may either click edit at the top center area of the page, to edit the entire bill page, or click on the edit links that are sprinkled through out the page, to edit specific subsections.

To Create a new bill

Follow the instructions to get to the the "Current Bills" page. Once you have done that, edit the page and add a new link that is the name of the new bill. Look at the current "Current Bill" page to see how that is done. Then click on the link. It will take you to an edit page, where you can fill in the information to create the new bill's page. Please follow the same general format as the example bill.

Final Note

Eventually there will be a more streamline method of creating and editing current bills. There will likely also be tutorial pages and videos.
